Highly Efficient Cooling Completed
In our last newsletter, we announced Green House Data’s purchase of new energy efficient Coolerado air conditioners that cool at 10% of the cost of traditional CRAC units. We are happy to say that they are all installed and exceeding our expectations for energy efficiency and cooling effectiveness. It was 90 degrees in Cheyenne yesterday and we were pushing a cool 68 degrees to our colocation and cloud hosting environments.
As you can see in the above image, we are utilizing a row based cooling design. Our cooling units blow cold air down the aisle of front facing servers, or “cold row”. The servers draw in the cool air and expel warm air into a “hot row” zone separated by special heat containing curtains. The hot air leaves the building through exhausts in the roof. Separating hot and cool zones helps efficiently optimize the cooling system by as much as 67% over traditional cooling methods.

Conserto
Spotlight Customer Testimonial
Conserto is a teleconference service provider focused on providing an excellent customer experience. They provide telephone, web and video conferencing both nationally and internationally. Conserto was looking for a colocation provider and first looked to Green House Data for its location and the lower telecom pricing it could offer, but ultimately they chose Green House for the personal touch their employees provide and the high-end technology available.

New 10 Gbps Internet Connection
Green House Data has recently added its first
10 Gbps internet connection to our data center. This bandwidth power is equal to 6000 T1 lines! Additionally, we are now in position to easily to 40 Gbps as our customers’ needs grow.
Broadband connectivity of this magnitude from multiple providers is not typical of rural data centers, but this was one of the reasons we chose Cheyenne. We are now uniquely positioned to meet the demand from our high bandwidth consumption customers, while also giving them the perfect location for a secure primary or disaster recovery data center solution.
