Welcome back to our ongoing series introducing the talented and friendly crew behind your data centers. This week we're visiting our star client service team in Seattle. Meet Alexa Medhus, Client Service and Support Analyst here at Green House Data.
I work in the Seattle Westin Building and have always lived in the Western Washington area.
I really enjoy walking through the city during my lunches to see new and/or old things. I love visiting the Pike Place Market and the waterfront, even though I’ve been there hundreds of times. There is always something new to see or do.
I started at FiberCloud in August of 2013 and came over to Green House Data during the transition in April 2015. So, around three years.
My favorite work projects are the ones that involve technical writing (creating how-to guides, etc) and having to figure out a new product to determine how it works from the customer’s perspective. My least favorite projects are anything involving data entry or repetitive work.
I am an avid reader and I tinker in writing novels and poems. I enjoy running 5Ks and going for walks. I process animal adoption applications and foster kittens and cats for Motley Zoo and I will soon be starting fostering with the Seattle Area Feline Rescue. I have three cats of my own that I adore.
Is two days camping and then coming back to a day of spa treatments an option? I guess it depends on the kind of week I’m having. Some days, I would love to just go relax at a spa and other days I would like nothing more than to escape into the woods, preferably with no cell signal.
If I had to choose only one, I would choose a three-day spa treatment because I would currently love to relax with no responsibilities. That and it’s one of Seattle’s many rainy seasons right now, so camping wouldn’t be a lot of fun.
Donuts if they’re from Top Pot or Krispy Kreme and bagels if it’s a cheese bagel from Panera bread. Generally, donuts will win over bagels.
My favorite part of working at Green House Data is how open it is. I am able to talk to management at any level, including the executive level, and have them take the ideas, concerns, or suggestions that I bring up seriously. Our open door policy is very open and I always feel welcome here.
